Longford Park Disc Golf Course Stretford, Greater Manchester

Thanks to our funders Veolia Environmental Trust and Thrive Trafford , and working with Trafford CouncilThe Friends of Longford Park and DUFFA, Manchester Disc Golf have installed a 18-hole disc golf course in Longford Park, Stretford, Greater Manchester.  

The course is always OPEN and FREE to use for everyone. Currently the disc rental scheme is suspended due to Corona virus - please use your own discs, we have a limited stock for sale. It was the first permanent 18-hole course in North West England.

Course Conditions

If there has been a lot of recent rain you might want to wear wellies / boots as some areas can get water logged.

Please give way to other park users when playing - the course is especially busy at the moment.


Longford Park café has discs you can hire. You need a £5 deposit and there is a £1 charge (cash only!).  Alternatively you can turn up at our club meets and borrow some discs for free and we'll show you how to play.  If you're bring a group we have a group hire set of discs available for out of hours - please contact us via email.

The café is now on it's summer opening hours. It opens from 10am and closes at 5pm. Ensure you have enough time to play and to get your deposit back! 

Purchase Discs

We have a limited stock of beginner discs for sale - come to one of our Open Days or find out when we're on the course at a club meet. Alternatively there are number of great online shops! 

A new course in Lilford Park, Leigh (near Wigan)!

We have started a project to install a new course in Leigh. We need volunteers and funding to make this a reality! Get involved!


Bike Rack Crowdfunder - SUCCESS!

We've crowdfunded to install a bike rack at Longford Park! We're awaiting delivery and should hopefully install it early September.
Our next crowdfunder is raising funds to install a new course in Greater Manchester If you can help by sharing or donating that would be great!

COVID and the Course

The course is in a public park and is open. Please follow all social distancing rules (both national and local rules) - avoid touching baskets, signs etc and sanitise your hands and discs. 
The park and course in general is VERY busy at the moment with other park users and due to an exciting rise in the number of players. If other park users are on the course please be prepared to skip holes and NEVER throw when there is a risk of hitting someone. The course is a shared space.

Disc Rentals Suspended - Discs for Sale

Disc Rentals are suspended at the moment - you have to bring your own discs. 
The club has a selection of beginner-friendly discs - most are £8 each.   
A volunteer can meet you on the course to sell you discs by arrangement email us - we take contactless payments. 
Club Meets
Official club meets are currently suspended - we are reviewing this regularly.
The best way to find out when people are playing and stay in touch with our regular disc golfers is to join the Manchester Disc Golf Players Facebook group.

School and Club Sessions

If you're a school, youth club or adult club and would like a FREE introductory session please email us! We now have out of hours disc hire for groups available. Contact us for more info!

Over 1,400 New Trees in Longford Park!

Since we started the project Manchester Disc Golf and Trafford Council have planed over one THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED new trees in Longford Park!
We have many more exciting plans and hope to continue to develop the course - improving the course is on for not just disc golfers but for everyone!
