How We Built The First 18 Course in the North West

We officially opened 2nd July 2016 with 18 baskets, 30 concrete tee pads, and landscaping features including an ancient, mystical stone circle.

We planted or installed 58 semi-mature trees, 60 apple trees, three new Out of Bounds tree nurseries containing over 1,400+ trees.

This made Longford Park, Stretford the first 18-hole Disc Golf course in the North-West of England!

We built  the course with a lot of volunteer time and effort with support from our funders and partners.

Thanks to Veolia Environmental Trust and Thrive Trafford , and working with Trafford CouncilThe Friends of Longford Park and DUFFA.
